The Board of Integrative Medicine Australasia (BIMA) was established by AIMA in 2022 to set the standard for integrative medicine in Australasia.
BIMA oversees the credentialing of doctors and practitioners in integrative medicine.
BIMA administers and awards the Fellowship in Integrative Medicine (FIMA) which certifies doctors and practitioners as Integrative Medicine Specialists.
The board consists of between 5 – 9 people appointed at the discretion of the AIMA board, the BIMA board includes at at least three doctors and one naturopath. The chair of BIMA will be a doctor appointed by the AIMA board.
